Wii B Jammin

Finally broke down and bought a Wii! Yes... I have been wanting one for so long, but I either couldn't find one, or just accepted that I would waste too much time playing it, so I figured it was better to not have one.

The straw that broke the camel's back was Mario Kart Wii. Man does that think look cool! So I searched all over town (and I use that term loosely) and had to eventually go the next town over (again, that word) and found one at the Alma Wal-Mart.

Now if you'll excuse me... I have to go set this hurr game system up!!

On a totally unrelated note, all of my marching band shows yet completed will be late.

;-)

Keys

I have asked this question of some band director friends, and hoped that others would help me with this.

I am currently editing one of my band works and a band director friend commented that the range was really high. It is in "comfortable keys," but the trumpets would go as high as a D. They also start the piece on a high B.

I was looking over the score and had a thought. Right now, the piece goes through these keys:

Dm
Cm
Fm
Gm

If I changed the keys to the following, do you think it would help?

Cm
Bbm
Ebm
Fm

It does lower the range, however it puts them in two "unfamiliar keys:" Bb minor and Eb minor.

Would you agree lower range in a "harder key" is better than higher range in a "comfortable key?"

Thanks to those that help!
